Resource date: Apr 2024

Author: UNFPA Cameroon

EN

Cameroon's ongoing crisis is worsening, impacting approximately 3.4 million people, with women and girls bearing the brunt of the hardship. The underfunded response is grappling to address urgent needs across five of the country’s ten regions.

In the Far North, there are recurrent attacks by non-state armed groups (NSAGs), along with flooding and community conflicts. The North West and South West regions face lockdowns, abductions, sporadic gunshots, and attacks with improvised explosive devices (IEDs). In addition, the Littoral and West regions are experiencing an influx of displaced populations from the North West and South West.
